Pedro Barrueco has a diverse work experience spanning over several decades. Pedro began their career in public positions, serving as a Police Commissioner from 1989 to 2002. In 2003, Barrueco worked as a Security and Risk Manager Director at Servicio Pan Americano de Protección until 2007. Pedro then transitioned to become a Risk Management Specialist and Investigator until 2023 at an undisclosed company. In 2008, Barrueco joined Brink's Inc as Director of Security - Latin America until 2010. Pedro then took on the role of Director of Operations - Latin America from 2011 to 2013, and later became the Director of Risk and Loss Control Mexico in 2013. Throughout their tenure, Barrueco achieved significant accomplishments such as expanding security offerings, reducing losses, carrying out re-engineering efforts, and supporting the development of new business strategies.
Pedro Barrueco has an extensive education history. In 2000-2002, they obtained a Master's Degree in Criminology from the University of Leicester. In 2015, they received a Diploma in Risk Management from Tecnológico de Monterrey. In 2012, they acquired several diplomas, including Corporate Strategy from the University of Chicago, Change Management from Brinks University, and Project Manager from Universidad del Mar, specializing in Project Management. Additionally, they completed a course in Financial Management for non-financial managers at the University of Virginia in 2010. Pedro also pursued studies in Criminal Profiling at Ope-University in Spain in 2005 and Criminalistics at Universidad Rafael Belloso Chacín in 2004. Furthermore, they obtained a diploma in Human Rights from American University in 2001. Prior to that, from 1995-1999, they earned a Bachelor of Science in Police Science from the University of Scientific Police, and in 1996, they became a Specialist in Municipal Management from Santa Maria University. Lastly, they obtained a College degree in Police Science from the University Of Scientific Police from 1991-1995. The most recent addition to their education is a Diploma in National Security & Asymmetric Threats & Intelligence from UDLAP Jenkins Graduate School in 2021, with a focus on National Security and Intelligence.
