David Lin

David Lin began their work experience as a Laboratory Assistant at the University of California, Davis in 2008. David then worked as a Microbiologist at A-TEK, Inc., where they collaborated with government agencies to identify pathogenic biological agents from environmental samples. Following this, they worked as an Associate Scientist at Life Technologies. In 2013, Lin was a Visiting Research Scholar at the University of Oxford. David then joined California State University, Fullerton as a Graduate Student Researcher, where they contributed to publications and also served as a Teaching Assistant. Lin then pursued their Doctorate at the University of Michigan Medical School, conducting research on dengue virus host factors and developing assays for B-cell tolerance. David also served as a Graduate Student Instructor during this time. After completing their doctorate, Lin joined Genentech as a Postdoctoral Researcher, investigating neuro-immune interactions in the gut. David utilized advanced sequencing techniques and performed in vivo experiments. Lin then joined Twist Bioscience as a Scientist, where they built technology for synthetic biology applications. In 2020, they became a Co-Founder and CSO at Bristle.

David Lin completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Biotechnology and Microbiology at the University of California, Davis from 2005 to 2009. David then pursued a Master's degree in Molecular Biology at California State University, Fullerton, where they studied from 2011 to 2014. Following this, David went on to earn their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Microbiology and Immunology from the University of Michigan Medical School, where they were enrolled from 2014 to 2018.
