Brian Petersen has worked in various positions in the IT and software industries since 1999. From 1999 to 2006, they worked at Indiana University as a Network Engineer (Junior level), Network Installer, and Computer Lab Consultant. In 2006, they began working at Bell Techlogix, Inc. as a Help Desk Analyst. In 2010, they were contracted by MMY Consulting to work with IU/Methodist Family Practice Center as an Assistant to the Electronic Medical Records Specialist. In 2007, they were contracted by Smart IT Staffing to work with the State of Indiana DCS. Brian returned to Bell Techlogix, Inc. in 2011 as a Tier II Help Desk Analyst. In 2012, they returned to the State of Indiana DCS under Brite Systems Inc. as a Business Systems Analyst, providing end user support, account creation and security maintenance, troubleshooting, QA testing, and code migrations for their proprietary software systems.
Brian Petersen attended Indiana University Bloomington from 1991 to 1998, where they studied Computer Science and Folklore. In 2019, they attended Eleven Fifty Academy to pursue a degree in Cyber Security. Brian also obtained two certifications from CompTIA, the Security+ in October 2019 and the Network+ in September 2019.
