Jon-Michael Lacek

Jon-Michael Lacek has extensive work experience in various roles and positions. Jon-Michael currently serves as the Chief Technology Officer at Brite, a position they have held since January 2023. Prior to this, they were the Director of Security Operations at Brite, starting in August 2020.

Before joining Brite, Lacek was the Chief Operating Officer at Pitch 4 Security Solutions, beginning in June 2020.

During their career, Lacek also worked at Wegmans Food Markets, where they held multiple roles. Jon-Michael was an ITSS Operations Manager from January 2019 to August 2020, a Network Operations Center Manager from May 2016 to January 2019, an Information Security Analyst from March 2013 to May 2016, a Network Analyst from May 2005 to March 2013, and began their career there in customer service from February 2000 to May 2005.

Jon-Michael Lacek earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Computer Science from SUNY Geneseo, which they obtained between 2003 and 2005. Jon-Michael then pursued a Master of Science in Information Security Management at the SANS Technology Institute from 2018 to 2021.

In addition to their academic pursuits, Jon-Michael also holds several certifications. Jon-Michael obtained the GIAC Certified Detection Analyst (GCDA) certification from GIAC Certifications in January 2021. In June 2020, they acquired the GIAC Law of Data Security & Investigations (GLEG) certification. Jon-Michael also holds the Project Management Professional (PMP®) certification from the Project Management Institute, earned in January 2020. Jon-Michael obtained the GIAC Certified Project Manager Certification (GCPM) in December 2019 and the GIAC Strategic Planning, Policy, and Leadership (GSTRT) certification in February 2019. Earlier in their career, Jon-Michael acquired the GIAC Certified Incident Handler (GCIH) certification in June 2016, followed by the CISSP certification from (ISC)² in August 2015. Jon-Michael also obtained the GIAC Systems and Network Auditor (GSNA) certification in November 2018. In June 2018, Jon-Michael earned the GIAC Advisory Board distinction, followed by the GIAC Security Leadership (GSLC) certification that same month.
