BritMates is a Korea-based platform connecting freelance English tutors from around the world with students across South Korea.

We provide high-quality online teaching tools designed to make virtual learning simple, engaging, and effective for both students and tutors. All lessons are delivered online, allowing our global community to teach and learn anytime, anywhere.

With access to over 5 million learners in Korea, we are proud to support a growing network of experienced tutors worldwide. While many of our tutors are based in the UK and South Africa, we welcome educators from diverse backgrounds who can deliver high-quality British English instruction.

British culture is at the heart of our ethos: cosmopolitan, innovative, yet friendly and approachable. We encourage meaningful connections between tutors and students, creating a learning environment where ideas can be shared openly, while always respecting cultural differences and professional boundaries.

Since our founding in 2020, BritMates has grown rapidly. The company is led by our CEO, Mike, who brings over 15 years of experience from his successful marketing business, now allowing him to focus fully on BritMates’ continued development.

We offer a wide range of courses, combining trusted platforms such as the Pearson English Portal with bespoke materials developed in-house. Our tutors are supported in delivering engaging, student-centred lessons aligned with our teaching philosophy.

At BritMates, we’re not just teaching English — we’re building global connections through language.
