Jonathan Chen is an undergraduate researcher at the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard, focusing on intrinsic carbapenem resistance in Enterobacterales through advanced methodologies such as transcriptional profiling and gene editing. Jonathan gained research experience as a summer intern at the Suga Laboratory at The University of Tokyo, where the focus was on macrocyclic peptide discovery using the RaPID platform, supported by funding from the Reischauer Institute of Japanese Studies at Harvard University. In addition to research, Jonathan served as a Peer Study Leader for Organic Chemistry at Harvard University, facilitating classes and helping students with their studies. Jonathan previously collaborated as a Radcliffe Research Partner at the Harvard Radcliffe Institute. Currently pursuing a Bachelor of Arts degree in Chemical and Physical Biology and Statistics at Harvard University, Jonathan completed high school at Houston Christian High School.
