Mark Walker is a Senior Group Leader in Computational Biology at the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard, currently leading an interdisciplinary team in the Genome Analysis Toolkit Structural Variation discovery pipeline. They hold an affiliate position in Michael Talkowski's lab at Massachusetts General Hospital, overseeing structural variant call set generation for large-scale whole-genome sequencing projects. Previously, Mark developed the GATK PathSeq pipeline for pathogen detection in collaboration with Dana Farber. Mark earned a Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering from The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and holds a Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering from Tufts University.
