Michael Nashed

Michael Nashed has over two decades of experience in procurement and supply chain management, currently serving as Senior Director of Procurement at the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard since 2003. Nashed has successfully transformed a life sciences-focused procurement organization into an efficient global sourcing unit, especially notable during the COVID-19 pandemic, enabling the production of over 100,000 diagnostic tests daily. As a leader, Nashed established a centralized procurement model, built a 50-member staff, and implemented effective strategies for risk mitigation and compliance. Prior to this, Nashed held procurement roles at the Whitehead Institute, where responsibilities included vendor relationship management and pricing negotiations. Nashed holds a Bachelor of Science in Human Physiology from Boston University.
