Samarth Basanth

Samarth Basanth is an accomplished individual with diverse experience across multiple fields, particularly in research and public health. As a Stipend Researcher Intern at UCLA, Samarth developed a control framework for predicting seizure onset and filed a provisional patent for the related technology. Current roles include Fellow in Public Health at Los Altos Institution, advising on LED streetlight conversions and health impacts, a member of the American Heart Association's National Youth Leadership Council, and a board member for the Connecticut State Department of Education, aiding in discussions on educational equity. Samarth’s research experience spans institutions like NASA Ames Research Center and the Wu Tsai Institute at Yale University, focusing on neuromuscular stability and neurodegeneration. Additionally, Samarth founded Samanate, a nonprofit addressing prescription drug inequities, and leads Science Speaks, a science communication platform.
