Matthew Chan

Matthew Chan is an experienced operations manager and project leader in the broadcast and virtual reality sectors. Currently serving as the NZ Operations Manager at Broadcast Virtual since March 2023, Matthew oversees technical support, crew management, and budget handling for live sports virtual advertising projects. Prior roles include Special Projects Manager at AE Live, where responsibilities encompassed recruiting and training technicians, coordinating logistics, and client liaison, particularly during the COVID-19 period. With a background as an International Projects and System Administrator at Ignite TV, Matthew has extensive experience in managing broadcast graphics and tournament management systems for high-profile events like the HSBC World Rugby Sevens Series. Additionally, Matthew was the owner and administrator of NZ TechBlog, providing insights on technology trends and product reviews. Education includes NCEA qualifications from Rosmini College and ongoing studies at The University of Auckland.
