Andrew Blanksby is a Distinguished Engineer in the DSP Microelectronics Group at Broadcom, where they lead the development of Low-Density Parity-Check (LDPC) technology for various major companies. With a specialty in mapping complex algorithms into silicon, they have contributed to global standards like IEEE 802.11ad and have expertise in digital signal processing and High-Level Synthesis. Previously, Andrew co-founded Gnome Technologies Pty Ltd, focusing on a distributed software platform for cellular data telemetry, and worked at Bell Labs Research, where they demonstrated the world’s first LDPC decoder integrated circuit. Currently, Andrew is pursuing a Ph.D. in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, alongside an MBA and a Bachelor’s degree, both from the University of Adelaide.
