Dan English

Dan English is an experienced engineering professional with a strong background in integrated circuit design and hardware engineering. Currently serving as Director of IC Design Engineering at Broadcom since April 2009, Dan specializes in ASIC design and verification for video decoders, memory controllers, and DDR PHY. Previous roles include Sr. Director of Hardware Engineering at Cedar Point Communications, where responsibilities encompassed hardware design for cable VoIP multimedia switches, and Hardware Manager at Lucent Technologies, focusing on ASIC and FPGA design/verification for network interface devices. Additional experience includes project leadership at Nexabit Networks and roles at Lucent Technologies and AT&T, covering various aspects of network technology. Dan holds a Master’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, and Communications Engineering, as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, both from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
