Daniel Edelson is a seasoned software engineering leader with extensive experience in the technology sector. Currently serving as Sr Director of Software Engineering for Mobility WLAN at Broadcom Inc. since July 2010, Daniel oversees the Wi-Fi Software Engineering organization and is responsible for the delivery of critical software components and customer support in the mobile phone market. Prior roles include VP of Core Systems Software at Phoenix Technologies, VP of Engineering at NextHop Technologies, and Sr Director Engineering at Orbital Data Corp. Daniel has also held significant positions at Redback Networks, Lucent Technologies, and Ascend Communications, demonstrating expertise in managing software development for networking and embedded firmware applications. Daniel earned a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of California, Santa Cruz.
