Iraj Motabar

Iraj Motabar serves as an Associate Technical Director and Sr. Principal Design Scientist at Broadcom's Office of CTO, focusing on the architecture, design, verification, synthesis, and timing closure of a MIPS+AMBA-based CPU sub-system for digital television and satellite chips since November 2006. Previously, Iraj held the position of Principal Design Engineer at Quartics, Inc., where responsibilities included designing and verifying a CODEC agnostic VLIW processor for video decoding. Iraj also has experience as the Director of Engineering at Erlang Technology, Inc., leading an ASIC design and verification team. Iraj's educational background includes a Post-Doc in Biomedical Engineering from The Johns Hopkins University, a PhD in Biomedical Engineering from Washington University in St. Louis, an MSEE from Amirkabir University of Technology, a BSEE from Iran University of Science and Technology, and a Technical High School Diploma in Electronics from the Technical High School of the Iranian Oil Ministry.
