James Lie

James Lie is an experienced business manager and product monetization strategist, currently working in strategy, licensing, and operations at Broadcom since 2023. They previously held a senior manager role at VMware from 2018 to 2025, where they guided the commercialization of various product lines. Before that, James contributed to business development as a manager in both the communications segment at Altera and in the EMEA region at Silicon Motion, in addition to earlier roles at Cypress Semiconductor and Intel Corporation. James holds an MBA from the Walter A. Haas School of Business and is pursuing a degree in EECS at the University of California, Berkeley.
