Mark Boon

Mark Boon is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in network security and software engineering. Currently serving as a Master Engineer at Broadcom since November 2023, Mark leads a specialized team in Network Security and Identity Management. Prior to this role, Mark worked at VMware from August 2016 to November 2023, initially as a Staff Engineer and later as a Staff 2 Network Security Engineer, where responsibilities included leading the AAA team and managing core authorization and certificate solutions. Mark has also held significant positions at Amazon as a Senior Software Engineer and at Glu Mobile, where various roles included Server Engineering Manager and Lead Server Engineer. Earlier in Mark's career, contributions were made at Blue Planet Software and its subsidiary Avatar Reality, focusing on A.I. software engineering and developing autonomous avatars. Mark holds a Master's degree in Computer Science with a specialization in Artificial Intelligence and Robotics from the University of Amsterdam.
