Orhan K Akyildiz

Orhan K Akyildiz is a seasoned engineer with extensive experience in networking and software development across various leading technology companies. Currently serving as a Senior Principle Engineer at Broadcom Inc. since February 2023, Orhan previously held the position of Technical Lead at Facebook Reality Labs from May 2021 to March 2023, and contributed to WiFi systems software at Apple from February 2018 to May 2021. Prior roles include Senior Staff Engineer at Qualcomm, where a focus on WLAN host driver development and performance leadership was undertaken. Orhan's earlier career features significant positions at BlackBerry, Nortel, and Telenity, encompassing roles in technical leadership and software engineering related to cellular and WiFi technologies. Orhan holds a BSc in Computer Engineering from Hacettepe University, a MSc in Computer Engineering from Istanbul Technical University, and pursued a PhD in Computer Science at the University of Ottawa.
