Peisong Chen

Peisong Chen is a highly experienced researcher and system engineer with over 15 years of diverse expertise in video compression algorithm design, hardware implementation, video broadcasting and streaming, standard engineering, and patent management. Currently a Principal Scientist at Broadcom since 2011, Peisong designs advanced video compression algorithms and contributes to MPEG/VCEG standardization activities. Prior to this role, Peisong worked at Qualcomm from 2003 to 2011, where they contributed to the H265/HEVC standard development and managed patent processes. Peisong holds a Ph.D. and an M.S. in Electrical Engineering, as well as an M.S. in Applied Mathematics from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
