Sanjay Uppal currently serves as the Senior Vice President and General Manager of the Software-Defined Edge Division at Broadcom Software, a position held since November 2023. Prior to this role, Sanjay Uppal was with VMware from December 2017 to November 2023, where responsibilities included leading the Service Provider and Edge Business Unit and overseeing the VeloCloud Business Unit following VMware's acquisition of VeloCloud Networks. As CEO and Co-Founder of VeloCloud Networks from January 2013 to December 2017, Sanjay Uppal significantly contributed to the development of Cloud-Delivered Software Defined WAN (SD-WAN). Previous experience includes serving as President and COO at OnMobile Global Ltd and Vice-President at Citrix Systems. Sanjay Uppal holds a Master of Science in Management Science & Engineering from Stanford University and a Master of Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
