James Batstone

James Batstone has diverse work experience, starting with their role as a Senior Analyst at the Royal Bank of Scotland from October 2011 to September 2014. James then co-founded JMG Designs in May 2015 and worked as a Director until January 2016. James served as a Designer and Researcher at Seal Agreements from March 2016 to May 2016. James was a co-founder and Cofounder of SmartSite from January 2016 to August 2017. In 2017, they briefly led the MicroLab at RCA - IIS Tokyo Design Lab from August to September. James then joined PhysicalReality as a Designer and Artist in January 2018, where they worked on creating immersive experiences. Currently, they hold the position of Future Product Research Lead at Brompton Bicycle, focusing on designing for the cities of the future.

James Batstone completed their DPhil degree in Engineering at the University of Oxford from 2006 to 2011. Following that, they pursued their Innovation Design Engineering degree at the Royal College of Art from 2014 to 2018.
