Ted Berklayd has extensive work experience in the real estate industry. Ted started their career at Duff & Phelps as a Senior Associate in Financial Due Diligence from July 2008 to September 2011. After that, they joined Brookfield Asset Management, where they held various roles. Ted started as the Vice President of Finance for Global Real Estate from September 2011 to March 2017. Ted then became the Senior Vice President and Head of Finance for Europe Real Estate in March 2017, overseeing the restructuring of the finance team and onboarding multiple portfolio companies. Currently, they are the Managing Director and Head of Portfolio Management for Europe Real Estate at Brookfield Asset Management since November 2020. In this role, they are responsible for the active management and strategic direction of approximately $50 billion European real estate investments across various areas, including office, hospitality, PBSA, and others.
