Yingyi

Yingyi Ma is a Professor of Sociology at Syracuse University’s Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs, where roles include Director of Graduate Studies, Director of Asian and Asian American Studies, Provost Faculty Fellow on Internationalization, Posse Mentor, and O'Hanley Faculty Scholar since August 2006. Additionally, Yingyi Ma serves as a Senior Non-Resident Fellow at The Brookings Institution and an American Council of Education Fellow for 2023-2024. Previously, Yingyi Ma was a Public Intellectual Fellow at the National Committee on U.S.-China Relations from March 2019 to July 2022. Education includes a PhD in Sociology from The Johns Hopkins University, completed in 2006.
