Anna Rasche

Art History Happy Hour - Organizer & Lecturer

Anna Rasche is an independent gemologist and jewelry historian with extensive experience in circa-dating, authentication, valuation, and provenance research, currently serving clients including dealers, collectors, and institutions since January 2019. As a teaching faculty member at Sotheby's Institute of Art, Rasche imparts knowledge on the history of gems and jewelry. Additionally, Rasche organizes and lectures at the Brooklyn Museum's Art History Happy Hour, enhancing museum engagement through innovative programming. Co-founder of The Society for the Advancement of Social Studies, Rasche also has prior roles at The RealReal and the Metropolitan Museum of Art, and has held various academic positions, contributing to the field through research, curation, and education. Rasche holds a Master of Arts in History of Design & Curatorial Studies from Parsons School of Design, a Bachelor of Arts in Archaeology from Boston University, a Graduate Gemology Degree from the Gemological Institute of America, and a certificate in comprehensive jewelry training from Studio Jewelers.
