David Burpee

David Burpee is a multidisciplinary Computational Design Leader based in the Pacific Northwest, specializing in Footwear, Apparel, Consumer Goods, Automotive, Medical, and Architecture. Currently, they serve as a Senior Computational Designer at Brooks Running and a Computational Researcher and Lecturer at the University of Washington, where they focus on Engineered Living Materials in collaboration with an NSF grant. With over a decade of experience, David has provided advanced design strategy and tools for prominent companies including Nike, PUMA, and General Motors. They hold a Master of Architecture from the University of Southern California and have contributed to significant design projects, integrating computational methods across various scales. David's work is driven by a passion for sustainable innovation and addressing ecological challenges through creative solutions.
