Chuck Butts

Chuck Butts is an experienced Application Developer with a strong background in COBOL programming and system development. Currently working at Brooksource since August 2023, Chuck develops, tests, and promotes COBOL programs using STRATUS COBOL. Previous roles include positions at Dataquest/Rite Aid, where Chuck developed programs for SAP migration and utilized COBOL and DB2, and at DXC/Cleveland Cliffs Steel, where Chuck maintained high-level applications in a manufacturing context. With a career spanning over three decades, Chuck has held various programming and analyst roles at notable companies including IBM, where Chuck specialized in Real Time Systems, and Direct Brands, focusing on finance application development. Educational credentials include a B.S. in Recreation/Leisure Services from Shepherd University, complemented by a high school diploma with a preparatory focus from Cumberland Valley High School.
