Michael Nelson

Michael Nelson possesses extensive experience in operations and management within the manufacturing and beverage industries. Currently serving as Director for Woodford Reserve and Old Forester Distilleries and Director of Brown-Forman Cooperage at Brown-Forman since August 2014, Michael has been instrumental in leading innovative distillation processes. Prior to this role, Michael dedicated over 12 years to Lafarge, culminating in positions such as Plant Manager and Materials Performance Manager for the Great Lakes Division, where responsibilities included overseeing quality control of chemical and construction aggregates across multiple states and Ontario, Canada. Additionally, Michael held roles focused on safety management and operational oversight, enhancing workplace safety and efficiency. Michael holds a BA in Business, Political Science, and Public Affairs from Muskingum University.
