Steven Blanton

Steven Blanton is the current CFO at Brown Packing. Prior to that, they served as a District 3 Council Member for Cherokee County Council from 2013 to 2016. During their time in office, Steven led initiatives to recruit a record number of jobs, better target businesses, and reduce county government with the sale of the county-operated senior care facility. Steven also stabilized county funding, accumulating proper funding reserves to protect taxpayers. In addition, Steven restructured government services with municipalities to ensure that all citizens were served adequately and fairly. Allocating capital improvements to infrastructure based solely on need, they successfully worked with Administration and Council to fund replacement of capital based on projected life to correspond to funding. Finally, Steven led initiatives to reduce workload on employees and make data more accessible to the public with technology.

Steven Blanton has a BA in Accounting from Wofford College.

Steven Blanton reports to Jim Brown, President. They are on a team with Roger Vlieg - Allied Renewal Manager, Ed Fitzgerald - Beef Plant Manager, and Reed Brown - Vice President, Cattle Procurement.
