Sharmila Chakravorty has worked in various roles in different companies throughout their career. From May to June 2013, they were a Features Writer at The Asian Age. Subsequently, from July 2013 to November 2016, they worked as a Senior Sub Editor for Domus India at Spenta Multimedia. From February 2011 to April 2013, they were a Writer & Copy Editor at Indian Architect and Builder. Additionally, from December 2009 to June 2010, they gained experience as a Writing Intern at EMMA Media. Sharmila began their career as a News Content Editor - Trainee at I Media Corp. Ltd. (IMCL) from May 2007 to June 2008. Their most recent role is at BrowserStack, where they joined in October 2019 as a Product Marketing Content Specialist, and is currently employed there. Prior to this, from November 2016 to October 2019, they were a Process Lead - Internal Communications at Capgemini.

Sharmila Chakravorty completed their education in a chronological order. Sharmila started their academic journey at the St John the Baptist High School, where they obtained their SSC degree. After that, they attended St John the Baptist High School and Junior College from 2003 to 2005, where they completed their HSC degree in Science.

In 2005, Sharmila enrolled in G. N. Khalsa College, Matunga, and pursued a degree in Journalism. Sharmila completed their Bachelor's in Mass Media (BMM) from this college in 2008.

Following their undergraduate studies, Sharmila continued their education at the University of Northampton from 2008 to 2009. During this time, they earned a Master of Arts (MA) degree in International Relations.

In addition to their formal education, Sharmila Chakravorty has also obtained certifications in Content Marketing Foundations and Test Automation Foundations from LinkedIn. Sharmila acquired these certifications in March 2020.
