Aaron Smith

Aaron Smith, CPA has a diverse work experience in the field of accounting. Aaron began their career in 2009 as an Intern at Martin Starnes & Associates, CPAs, P.A. where they gained foundational knowledge in accounting. Aaron then worked as a Staff Accountant from January 2009 to December 2012 and as a Senior Accountant from January 2013 to October 2013 at the same company.

In 2013, Aaron joined Brunswick County and held the position of Deputy Finance Officer from October 2013 to December 2021. Aaron then transitioned to the role of Director of Fiscal Operations in December 2021, where they currently serve.

Aaron Smith, CPA graduated from Lenoir-Rhyne University in 2010 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting. In August 2014, they obtained their certification as a Certified Public Accountant.
