Dan Walters

Dan Walters currently holds the position of QMS Assessor for Medical Devices at BSI since October 2023. Previously, Dan served as a Senior Quality Manager at Structure Medical from December 2006 to March 2024, where responsibilities included working with design engineers on new product launches, focusing on risk analysis, process validation, and ensuring on-time delivery. Dan's earlier experience includes a role as Production Manager at Carolina Precision Manufacturing, where new product development and daily scheduling of machine operators were key tasks, and a position as Manufacturing Engineer at Accellent Endoscopy, which involved collaboration with outside suppliers and designing fixtures and tooling. Dan began a career as a Class A Machinist, gaining skills in programming and setup of complex parts while adhering to safety and ISO standards. Dan's education includes a B.S. in Engineering Technology from Western Carolina University and an A.O.S. in Industrial Technology from Erie Community College, along with training at Duke University's Fuqua School of Business.
