Fathy Eldemerdash

Fathy Eldemerdash has a wealth of experience in the field of information security and quality audits. Fathy started their career as a Senior Systems Analyst at Saidi Information Systems in 1984 before moving on to become the Data Processing Section Head at Bristol-Myers Squibb in 1985.

In 1985, Fathy joined the American Embassy in Cairo as an Information Security/Senior IT Manager, where they developed IT mission strategic plans and managed the IT facilities center and information security management system. Fathy held this position until 2010.

After leaving the American Embassy, Fathy worked at BSI Egypt as a Lead Assessor and Information Security Management System Instructor from 2006 to 2011. Fathy was responsible for planning and executing internal information security and quality audits, as well as monitoring internal control systems.

From 2011 to 2015, Fathy worked at Emirates Identity Authority as a Corporate/IT Governance and Information Security Consultant. In this role, they developed risk assessment methodologies, implemented business continuity plans, conducted information security audits, and worked with IT Risk and Compliance divisions to create plans for change and security incident management.

Most recently, Fathy joined BSI Middle East and Africa in 2015 as a Lead Client Manager. Fathy'sresponsibilities include planning and executing internal information security and quality audits, monitoring control systems, and ensuring appropriate information access levels are maintained in accordance with ISO 27001.

Throughout their career, Fathy has advocated for international IT security standards, facilitated compliance within organizations, and engaged top leadership in strategic dialogues. Fathy has also identified areas for continuous improvement and developed action plans to enact positive change.

Fathy Eldemerdash pursued a Diploma in Computer Studies from Slough College for Computer Studies in the UK between 2013 and 2020, specializing in Computer Programming and Systems Analysis. Additionally, they obtained a Master's Degree in Business Systems Analysis and Design from City, University of London in the year 1983.
