Mark Caney

Mark Caney serves as the Industry Relations and Training Executive at PADI, a role held since April 1996, where responsibilities include negotiating and designing international standards for diving and representing PADI on various cross-industry bodies. Caney's career includes previous roles such as Vice President of Training and Customer Services for PADI EMEA and Managing Director of PADI's first subsidiary office in the UK. Additionally, Caney is the Chairman of the PADI AWARE Foundation, President of the European Underwater Federation and the Rebreather Training Council, and serves as a designated expert for the UK at BSI, contributing to international ISO and European Norms negotiations. Involved with multiple organizations, Caney also authored the novel "Dolphin Way: Rise of the Guardians."
