Phyllis Chen

Phyllis Chen (CAHRI) has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and roles. Phyllis currently works at BSI as the Acting People Partner Director (Americas), and prior to that, they served as the People Partner Director - Asia Pacific. Phyllis also held the role of HR Director (APAC) at BSI from 2018 to 2023. Additionally, they have experience as the Head of HR for ASEAN and Head of HR for BSI Australia & New Zealand.

Before joining BSI, Phyllis worked as the HR Manager for Geodis Wilson in Australia and New Zealand, where they were responsible for strategic people management, talent acquisition, employee relations, and training. Phyllis also served as the HR Manager at Damco, providing HR leadership and overseeing various business units.

Phyllis has previously worked as an HR/Business Executive at Kincoppal-Rose Bay, HR Manager at Navarra Group, and HR Manager at Austech Institute for Further Education. Phyllis started their professional career as a Branch Manager at YES Youngdo International Language Institute in Beijing.

Phyllis Chen (CAHRI) completed their education with a Masters of Commerce in Human Resources Management from UNSW in 2006. Phyllis earlier obtained a Bachelor of Arts in International Business and International Relations & Politics from the same institution between 2001 and 2004. In 2013, Phyllis pursued further education at the University of Sydney, where they are currently pursuing a Masters of Labour Law and Relations, specializing in Labour Law and Relations.
