Robert Brown

Robert Brown serves as the Global Head of Automotive and Global Automotive Product Champion at BSI since February 2017. Responsibilities include reviewing market information, providing technical support for service delivery processes, maintaining documentation for certification schemes, and determining training requirements for certification personnel. Prior to BSI, Robert held the position of IATF Oversight Manager at SMMT from 2005 to February 2017, contributing to the development of the IATF 16949:2016 standard and managing the governance of the certification scheme. Earlier experience includes roles as a Senior Business Improvement Engineer and Business Improvement Engineer at Industry Forum, a Senior Consultant at TEC Transnational Ltd, and Quality Manager at Peterson Springs, building a strong foundation in quality management systems across various sectors. Robert's educational qualifications include multiple auditor certifications from the International Automotive Task Force, along with training credentials from the VDA for automotive industry standards.
