Simon Erne

Simon Erne is a Software Engineer currently employed at BSI since January 2022. Prior experience includes a short-term role as a Development Engineer during an internship at SCS - Supercomputing Systems AG, focusing on high-performance system architecture. Simon's academic background includes a Master's thesis at Empa, which investigated data-driven methods for occupancy forecasting in building energy management. Additional experience encompasses teaching assistant roles at ETH Zürich in numerical methods and embedded systems, as well as an internship at B&R Industrial Automation, where Simon developed software prototypes and participated in SCRUM processes. Simon holds a Master's and Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and Information Technology from ETH Zürich and has completed an exchange program in Automatic Control at Lund University.
