Sofian Medbouhi

Sofian Medbouhi began their work experience as the Co-Founder (CTO) of bsport in 2018. In this role, they developed a fully-featured production environment involving 5 developers and utilized technologies such as Kubernetes, Django, ReactJS, ReactNative, AWS, PostgreSQL, RabbitMQ, and ElasticSearch. Sofian also implemented a live data pipeline for marketing automation and created customized branded apps for partners.

After their time at bsport, Sofian Medbouhi joined BNP Paribas CIB as a Senior data engineer & DevOps from August 2018 to August 2019.

Prior to that, they co-founded Codex in 2017 and worked as the CTO until October 2018.

In 2017, Sofian Medbouhi was also a Data Scientist at Tiime from May to December.

In 2016, they worked as a Quantitative Research Intern at BNP Paribas, focusing on blockchain and consensus algorithms.

Sofian briefly worked as a Trading Assistant at UBS in 2015 and as an Analyste quantitatif at Institut Louis Bachelier from July to December 2014.

Sofian Medbouhi obtained a Master's degree in Engineering with a specialization in Informatics from CentraleSupélec, where they studied from 2011 to 2015. In 2016 and 2017, they attended UPMC - Ecole Polytechnique, where they pursued the exDEA "El Karoui" program in M2 Probability and Finance, with a focus on Big Data and Machine Learning. Alongside their engineering studies, from 2011 to 2015, Sofian also pursued a Master's degree in Management at ESCP Business School, specializing in Finance. Their earlier education includes studying at Lycée Blaise Pascal from 2008 to 2011, where they completed their Classe préparatoire aux grandes écoles (CPGE) in the ECS track. Additionally, they completed a Distance Learning program in M1 MAEF (Applied Mathematics) from the University of Paris I: Panthéon-Sorbonne in 2013-2014 and a Distance Learning program in L3 MFA (Mathematics) from Paris-Sud University (Paris XI) from 2012 to 2013.
