Bipin Sharma

Bipin Sharma is currently the Head of QMCI & Risk Management at BSRM. Bipin has over 25 years of experience in the steel industry, having worked in various managerial positions in India and abroad.

Sharma started their career in 1985 as a Manager in Metallurgy at Usha Martin in Jamshedpur. Bipin then moved to MP Iron as a Manager of Quality Assurance in 1994. In 1997, they joined PT Ispat Indo in Surabaya as the General Manager of the Steel Melting Shop. Under their leadership, the Steel Melting Shop saw an increase in productivity by 25% and substantial cost reductions.

In 2007, Sharma relocated to Georgia to take on the role of President at Geosteel LLC, where they were responsible for constructing, erecting, commissioning and operating a mini-steel plant from scratch. After four years at Geosteel, Sharma returned to India to assume the position of Chief Operating Officer at SBQ Steels Ltd. Bipin held this position until September 2012, when they joined BSRM.

Bipin Sharma did their post-graduation in business administration with a specialization in marketing and finance from XLRI Jamshedpur. Bipin also has a bachelor's degree in metallurgical engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur.

Bipin Sharma reports to Aameir Alihussain, Chairman & CEO. They are on a team with Sanjoy Kumar Ghosh - Head, Supply Chain Management, Tapan Sengupta - Deputy Managing Director, and Hasan Zafar Chowdhury - COO, Steels.
