Christopher Smith

Christopher Smith, CPA, CIA, CFE, is an accomplished internal audit professional with a strong background in strategic leadership. They served as the Director of Internal Audit at UMC Health System from 2012 to 2023, where they established the internal audit department and achieved a Generally Conforms opinion from the IIA. Prior to that, Christopher worked at Lam Vinson & Company, LLP as a Partner, and at KPMG as a Senior Associate, consistently recognized for exceptional performance. Currently, they serve as the VP of Internal Audit at Baylor Scott & White Health, overseeing auditing functions to enhance operational efficiency and compliance. Christopher holds a degree from Angelo State University, completed in 2003.
