Daniel Beckles

Daniel Beckles, MD, PhD, MBA, FACS, is the Director of Cardiothoracic Surgery at CHRISTUS Ochsner Health Southwestern Louisiana, leading the development of an advanced cardiovascular and thoracic surgery program. With over two decades of experience, Beckles previously held significant roles including Director of Minimally Invasive Cardiothoracic Surgery at UTMB and Chief of Cardiothoracic Surgery at SUNY Downstate Medical Center. Beckles is committed to clinical excellence and innovation, focusing on complex cardiac and thoracic conditions while also mentoring future healthcare professionals. They obtained an MD and PhD from SUNY Downstate Medical Center and continue to pursue an Executive MBA at the Jack Welch Management Institute.
