Elizabeth Cothran

Elizabeth Cothran serves as the Vice President and Chief Regulatory Officer at Baylor Scott & White Health, where since April 2002, strategic direction in U.S. Regulatory Affairs has been provided. Cothran's role involves effective communication regarding regulatory positions and interpreting global changes in FDA, OHRP, USDA, and OLAW strategies related to the Baylor Research Institute's initiatives. Previously, Cothran held roles including BHCS Corporate Director for Research Regulatory Affairs and Director of the Office of Research Subject Protection, overseeing the Institutional Review Board and Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee operations. Prior experience includes managing the Human Research Protection Accreditation Program at NCQA and leading the Institutional Review Board at The University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center. Cothran holds a Master's degree in Management and Human Resources from Southern Nazarene University and a Bachelor's degree in Communication, Business, and Journalism from Southeastern Oklahoma State University.
