Joanne Navales

Joanne Navales has a diverse background in mentorship, writing, research, and public health, with experience spanning multiple esteemed institutions. At IBlieve, Joanne served as a Mentor and Content Writer, while later roles at The University of Texas at Austin included mentoring first-year students and co-authoring a textbook on comprehensive sexuality education. As a Researcher and Curriculum Development Chair at Osier Laboratory, Joanne developed an undergraduate course on cultural humility in healthcare and managed a team for course creation. Contributions to various projects, including the CDC John R. Lewis Undergraduate Public Health Scholars Program, showcase Joanne's dedication to health equity and public health research. Joanne has also worked as an intern at NYU Langone Health and served in multiple leadership roles in public health initiatives. Education includes a Bachelor's degree from The University of Texas at Austin and a certificate from Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health.
