Michael Volk

Dr. Michael Volk is the Chair of Medicine at Baylor Scott and White in the Central Texas Region. Previously, Dr. Volk served as the Chief of Gastroenterology and Medical Director of Liver Transplantation at Loma Linda University, where they significantly enhanced endoscopic services and expanded the liver transplant program. Dr. Volk is triple board certified in Transplant Hepatology, Gastroenterology, and Internal Medicine, and has been recognized by Best Doctors as one of the top Hepatologists in the nation. With over 150 publications, they have a dedicated research focus on cirrhosis management and liver transplantation. Dr. Volk earned an MD from the University of Rochester, a Master’s degree from the University of Michigan, and an undergraduate degree from Kalamazoo College.
