Raymond Harrison

Raymond Harrison has a diverse work experience starting in 1984 with Galeria Kaufhof GmbH in the Informatics Department. Raymond then served in the US Army as an AH-1 Cobra Pilot from 1986 to 1992, where they obtained various qualifications and participated in combat missions. After leaving the military, Raymond joined Baylor Scott & White Health in 1999 as a Senior Staff Physician. Raymond worked in both inpatient and outpatient settings, teaching medical students and residents. Raymond also served on the Texas HITAC. In 2007, Raymond started their private practice, Harrison and Harrison Internal Medicine, where they were the owner, general manager, and staff physician. Raymond had general admission and ICU privileges at Metroplex Hospital. In 2014, they became a Medical Director at Baylor Scott and White Health. Currently, they are a Clinical Assistant Professor at Baylor College of Medicine starting in 2023.

Dr. Raymond Harrison has a diverse educational background. Raymond began their education by earning an AA in Computer Science from Monterey Peninsula College in 1984. Later, in 1989, they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Psychology from Fayetteville State University. Building on their education, they completed a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1996. Subsequently, Dr. Harrison pursued their medical training, specializing in Internal Medicine, through the Internal Medicine Residency Program at The Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University from 1996 to 1999.

In order to further enhance their knowledge and skills, Dr. Harrison pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a focus on Health/Health Care Administration/Management from Texas A&M University–Central Texas from 2012 to 2014. Following this, they completed a Graduate Certificate in Health Administration from the same institution in 2015.

In 2015, Dr. Harrison participated in the Advanced Physician Leadership Program at Southern Methodist University - Cox School of Business, further emphasizing their dedication to leadership in healthcare.
