Sarah Knodel has a comprehensive work experience in the healthcare industry, mainly focused on revenue cycle management. Sarah started their career at Stockamp & Associates, where they worked as an Associate Consultant and later became a Senior Associate. In 2010, they joined Baylor Health Care System, holding various roles as a Revenue Cycle Improvement Consultant and Corporate Director for Revenue Cycle Improvement. In 2013, Sarah became the Vice President of Revenue Cycle for the North Texas Division at Baylor Scott & White Health, overseeing the Access Services, Utilization Review, Revenue Integrity, Denial Resource Center, and Central Business Office. Sarah then advanced to become the System Vice President of Revenue Cycle at Baylor Scott & White Health in 2014, responsible for strategic management and direction of the revenue cycle across all hospitals and affiliated clinics. Most recently, Sarah served as the Senior Vice President of Revenue Cycle, where they had responsibility for the entire revenue cycle process, overseeing a large number of direct and indirect reports and managing over $8 billion in cash collections.
Sarah Knodel has a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in Finance from the Texas McCombs School of Business. Sarah also holds several certifications, including Certified Healthcare Access Manager (CHAM) from the National Association of Healthcare Access Management, Certified Healthcare Financial Professional (CHFP) from the Healthcare Financial Management Association, and Certified Patient Account Manager (CPAM) from the American Association of Healthcare Administrative Management.
