Chris Bate is a finance leader with over 12 years of post-qualification experience, currently serving as the Senior Finance Lead for the ESN programme at BT Group. Previously, they held key roles at BT as the Head of Financial Reporting and Control and as the Head of Finance for IT Services, Business, where they implemented significant changes to enhance team efficiency and financial governance. Chris began their career at MacIntyre Hudson as an Audit Senior and later advanced to Senior Audit Manager at Deloitte UK, leading high-stakes audits for major telecommunications companies. They also actively contribute as Treasurer and Trustee for The Counselling Partnership, where they have driven financial digitization and improved reporting processes. Chris holds a BSc in Geography from The University of Sheffield and is a qualified Chartered Accountant.
