Ian Cooper is a Senior Researcher at BT, specializing in access network technology. They contribute to the development of VDSL2 and G.fast technologies and have a strong interest in solving the powering challenges for remote DSL nodes. Ian was instrumental in creating the ETSI reverse power feed technical specification published in June 2014 and has authored numerous international standards contributions related to DSL technologies. They also gained international experience through sabbaticals at Lund University, focusing on integrating DSL technology with LTE for economic backhauling of small cells. Ian has been recognized with BT's Gordon Radley Medal for innovation.
