Matthew D. is a seasoned compliance and risk management professional with extensive experience in telecommunications and data governance. Currently serving as the Data & AI Compliance Director at BT since March 2014, Matthew D. focuses on the strategic oversight of data management frameworks and compliance with global data regulations. Previous roles include Risk and Compliance Director, where Matthew D. developed compliance strategies aligned with the UK Corporate Governance Code, and Head of International Regulatory Compliance, responsible for a global compliance program across 197 countries. Prior to BT, Matthew D. held various managerial positions at Openreach and DFS, as well as a flagship store management role at Phones 4u. Matthew D. holds an Advanced International Diploma in Governance, Risk and Compliance from the International Compliance Association and completed education at Tilburg University.
