BTCBacked is a peer-to-peer marketplace for Bitcoin-backed lending and borrowing, built on a non-custodial model where neither the platform nor any intermediary ever controls your Bitcoin.

Collateral is held in 2-of-3 multisig escrow. Borrower, lender, and platform each hold one key. Releasing collateral requires agreement from at least two of the three parties. No single party can act alone. Bitcoin is never reused, rehypothecated, or pooled.

For borrowers: Access liquidity in stablecoins without selling your Bitcoin. Choose your terms, compare lender offers, and borrow without giving up custody of your collateral.

For lenders: Deploy capital into over-collateralized, Bitcoin-backed loans with clear and enforceable terms. Each loan is secured by BTC held in verifiable on-chain escrow. Lenders pay no fees.
