Tommy Begres

Tommy Begres has extensive experience in the pharmaceutical and healthcare industry. Tommy is currently the Senior Director of Medical Affairs at BTG Pharmaceuticals. Prior to joining BTG Pharmaceuticals, they worked as the Senior Director of Global Medical Affairs at Emergent BioSolutions, where they were responsible for medical affairs globally. Tommy held the position of Director of Clinical/Medical Affairs at Adapt Pharma before it was acquired by Emergent BioSolutions. Tommy has also worked as a Principal Consultant at Blue Fin Group, focusing on consulting in the pharmaceutical sector. Earlier in their career, they worked at GlaxoSmithKline, UCB Pharma, Centocor, and IV Solution of Michigan, LLC, where they held various roles in market access, reimbursement, immunology, and as a CEO.

Tommy Begres holds a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree in Clinical Practice from Walden University, which they completed in 2022. Prior to that, they obtained a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree in Family Nurse Practitioner from Walden University, graduating in 2016. Tommy also holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Healthcare Management degree from Madonna University, completed in 1999. In addition, they completed the Paramedic Program at Baker College in 1999 and the Emergency Medical Service Instructor Program at Macomb Community College in 2007. Tommy has obtained several certifications, including Paramedic, Paramedic Instructor Coordinator, Fire Fighter Training Instructor I, and Michigan Board of Nursing.
