Michael Tompkins

Michael Tompkins is an Equity Research Associate at BTIG, focusing on Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITs) since July 2024. Prior experience includes serving as a Sustainability Vertical Analyst at Hillside Ventures, a student-run venture capital fund, from June 2023 to April 2024, and an Equity Research Intern at BTIG in the summer of 2023, where involvement included the Homebuilding and E-Commerce teams. Michael also held roles such as a Student Facilities Operations Assistant at the University of Connecticut from August 2021 to January 2023, a Long/Short Equity Intern at Newtyn Management in summer 2022, and Owner of Tompkins Auto Detailing from 2019 to 2021. Earlier work experience includes being a Crew Member at Tompkins Excavating from May 2016 to August 2021. Michael is pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a Minor in Entrepreneurship at the University of Connecticut, expected to graduate in 2024, following a high school diploma from Putnam Valley High School.
